Staff Recognition Day

This video is in recognition of all the work our wonderful staff complete every day to provide the best learning environment.  As a team of dedicated professionals everyone strives to provide a warm and caring environment with the child at the center.  We hope you know how much we appreciate your continued efforts.

Junior Area Renovation

The School Advisory Council has been busy preparing the plans for our new extension of the Year One Classrooms as well as the new outdoor learning areas for the Pre-Primary and Kindergarten. As a Council we have worked on the plans for the past two years and we have now commenced the build. Demolition began on Tuesday 28th September, this is a very exciting time for our school.

To make this all possible you may have noticed that Year 1A moved into the library and will remain there until the end of the year. Year 1B have also moved into the Helping Hands classroom, they will stay in this room until the end of the year. Helping Hands will begin running from the Kindy A classroom from the beginning of next Term which is Tuesday 12th October. At the beginning of 2022 Helping Hands will return to their previous room.

We envisage that the build will be completed by February ready for the start of the new year. We thank the staff for the amazing way they have effortlessly moved rooms and the way they have helped our students transition so smoothly.

Peter Constable wins the Agnes Weymouth Award

On Friday night Peter Constable was the winner of the Agnes Weymouth Award.

The Agnes Weymouth Award recognises any member of the school community who actively supports the school by working in partnership for the best outcomes for all.

Every member of our community is aware of the amazing work that Peter Constable, our sensational groundsman, does every day. You will see Peter at every event held in our school making a difference. He has that amazing attitude of nothing is too much trouble for our school community. You will see him at P & F events cooking up a storm on the bbq, putting up bunting and setting up lights. He is always prepared to help out even on weekends to ensure our school looks amazing and is working well.

We also had nominations for Karryn Purchase our P & F President and Paula Mackenzie our Principal.

Congratulations to all for an outstanding achievement.

LifeLink Documentary

The students of St Brigid’s created a documentary to highlight the school community lead initiative called St Ems.  This initiative helps to support LifeLink’s Shopfront service by providing support to those in our local community who are in need.  This video was included in the 2021 LifeLink Launch held at Newman College.
